I initially began working on this project to visually explore my sexual identity. I intended to photograph myself and the ways I occupied spaces, but the work wanted to talk about gender. At the same time, I was coming into myself as a genderqueer identifying person. The work gave me the visual language and an accidental documentation of what I was experiencing. Each encounter I had with the camera or the photographs would reveal new meaning to me, articulating the processes within the process.
The following are selected pieces from that study.
